The Layer’d bodywear collection is truly a Winter essential! It’s all about the luxury of touch, look and feel through beautiful, natural Merino wool and Egyptian cotton. Each piece uses small, eye-catching details, with silhouettes ranging from loose and A-line to body-hugging, with a wide selection of outfits to choose from.

Layer’d’s jewel tones of sapphires, rubies and garnets create a sense of luxury and their rich medley of autumnal brights and tangerine offer a playful ‘pop’ of colour during the colder months. Origèn Imports launches new eco-sustainable Balinese collection

Origèn, a lifestyle store born from founder, Rose Marie Stirling’s extensive travels to the world’s most exotic regions, has launched a new Balinese collection – the company’s greenest project to date!

Designed and created by Rose Marie Stirling whilst in Bali with her family, it’s the result of what she calls “the overwhelming inspiration that the Island of the Gods provokes. Wherever you go in Bali, the work of its artists and artisans is celebrated and valued. I wanted the opportunity to work alongside and promote their exceptional talents, whilst creating the most gorgeous, but soulful collections. The pieces are designed to bring out your individual style, everyday favourites with an exotic accent.”

Using silks in traditional hand blocked prints, hand loomed cotton and natural rayon hand screen-printed through a water recycling process, this collection is a wonderful step towards eco-friendly fashion. Central to it is the use of Modal fabric – a man-made 100% cellulose fibre, with a silky soft feel and luxurious drape. It is breathable, kind to skin and naturally hygienic. Modal fabric is also 50% more water-absorbent per unit volume than cotton, making it kinder to the environment, yet fashion forward.

Origèn creates fashion in line with the latest trends, using ethically accredited factories. The Balinese factory producing Origèn’s new collection is owned by an old friend of Rose Marie Stirling’s. Here, fair pay is of the utmost importance. The working environment is fun and happy and workers’ skills are highly valued and rewarded.

Origèn’s new Balinese collection is available in its Collins Street, Southgate, South Melbourne and Malvern stores.
